It seems website owners are going PR crazy when it comes to improving their website. Owners are spending top dollars to buy backlinks from sites with high PR rank. Don't be fooled, just because their site has a high rank doesn't mean it will benefit you (buyer beware!).

Let me get straight to the point. If a domain's homepage that relates to your site has a PR10 rating, but your link is added on an inside page, you will only benefit from the PR of that particular page. Chances are, it won't have a PR10 rating.

The key is to target "related sites" and once you have identified them and are ready to get your backlinks, free or paid, find out the exact page where your link will get added.
